This course is designed for cluster schools with P7 students that visit Ardroy together, with the intention of developing bonds between pupils destined for the same high school, and fostering independence and self-reliance. Commonality between all the children is explored and developed throughout the week’s shared experiences; the activities that are delivered foster group interaction and dialogue, as well as independence and self-reliance. By the end of each day pupils will know other group members better; reviewing will facilitate this process. Groups for evening activities will differ from those during the day to help speed this bonding. Children should depart Ardroy knowing which participants from other schools will form their support network at secondary school, and looking forward positively to the change.
